Ample Industries, Inc. is a privately held company that has enjoyed growth and success by creating a niche serving the restaurant and foodservice industries. Today Ample is recognized as one of the leading suppliers of nested paperboard cartons in North America.
Ample sells products into many foodservice market segments including quick-service restaurants, schools, convenience and institutional markets. The main types of products that Ample manufactures include food trays, fry cartons, and various hinged clamshells for sandwiches, hotdogs, pizzas, breadsticks, and carryout dinners.
Ample uses unique, start-of-the-art, N-line process machinery that was designed, manufactured, and incorporated into production by Ample engineers. N-line process machinery is an innovative equipment process that includes registered print and die-cutting, electronic gluing, and forming as a continuous production operation. This machinery is PLC controlled, servo-driven process equipment designed specifically for high-speed web-fed nested food packaging. Ample uses four and six-color common impression printing presses on it’s nine process lines to print high quality process graphics using the latest Flexographic technology. Cartons are produced on nine high-speed N-line formers capable of outputs exceeding 1 million cartons per N-line per day. The N-Line multi-stream process is unique to the nested converting industry and is a strategic advantage for Ample Industries. For intricate clamshell production, off-line folding and forming is used.
